Bhakti Pado Lyrics and mp3 files

Singing Bhakti Pados has become more a frequent activity at local satsangs. Since the book is only in Gujurati, it is hard for the youth and other English - speaking mahtamas to sing along sometimes. A local NC mahatma has done seva and translated two very popular pad so they can be sung by English-speakers. They are: "Ame Jhumiye Rahya Anand Ma" & "Anand Anand Ubraiy". Also, please scroll down to the bottom of the blog and I will post a link to where these pad can be downloaded. Enjoy!

5 Keys to Increase Awareness of the Pure Soul

1. When you see faults in the other person, then see the "person" as faultless/flawless (nirdosh). That person is no the doer of that mistake - seeing faults and the other as the doer of the faults are two different visions.

2. If you see the negative in the other person, then focus your vision on the positive and look for the positive in that person.

3. If you see some weakness (negativity or kashayas (anger, greed, pride, lust) in a person, then pray to their shuddhatma for them to get strength and come out of that weakness.

4. For weakness in yourself ask for strength from Dada Bhagwan.

5. If you see faults in File 1 then make File 1 do pratikraman.

These are 5 keys that will greatly increase awareness.

We all will benefit from this translation and understand the deep Gnan that Deepakbhai is giving to us.

The translation is embedded on the bottom of the blog. Here is the link to the site where this is being hosted: (Here you can register and create a free account which will enable to you to chat live to mahatmas during satsang.

Regular Local Satsang to Awesome Youth satsang

This Sunday there was a local satsang in Southern Pines, NC. A few youth arrived and we thought that this was the perfect time to do youth satsang and discuss common problems. We watched Niruma's english shibirs, and then a fantastic DVD of youth shibir with Deepakbhai. In this DVD Deepakbhai discussed many problems in this satsang that were the answers to many of our dailty problems. Throughout the satsang we paused the DVD and discussed what Deepakbhai said. It was a positive influence for all of us. These where some of the things that we thought were really helpful.

1. Progress in Gnan and Positivity:

Deepakbhai said... The time you spend with me, you are in awareness and you feel the positivity in you. This is because I am pulling you out of the "ditch of negativity and impurity" and all my energies are focused on pulling you out so you can start on the path of purity and positivity again. As soon as you all the shibirs are done and I leave, the awareness gradually decreases and you fall into the ditch again because their is no purusharth (effort to remain in the Pure Self) on your side. Then next year I pull you out of the same ditch again. Therefore, all my energies are being wasted and all of you are not progressing in the way of positivity and purity.

This gave all us inspiration and motivation to be positive and make sure we don't do anything to hurt any living being.

I know that all of you have heard in many satsangs that TV is bad and this is just repeating this fact. While watching satsang we paused the DVD and discussed how bad TV was and how to avoid it. The number 1 problem with TV is that it is filled with sexuality and this is a very negative influence. All of us realized that the number one reason we watch TV is when we are battle boredom we decided that we could play sports or join clubs or do community service. Anything positive that would keep us away from TV.

3. Fashion and Clothing

Fashion and clothing isn't a very big problem with guys, but sometimes it can be. I know it was for me, I was obsessed with wearing Abercrombie, American Eagle, etc. I would be so angry if my parents wouldn't buy me designer clothes. Sometimes I still want to buy those kinds of clothes, but I have to keep telling myself that spending LOADS OF MONEY on clothes isn't worth it. No one really cares what you are wearing. Deepakbhai said that if we used the time that we waste in fashion in staying positive and applying Gnan, then we would never be unhappy.

4. Obeying Parents

Deepakbhai also stressed the importance of obeying your parents. Your parents have done so much things for you. They brought you into this world, raised you, etc. We should never forget what all they have done for us. He told all the youth to obey and respect your parents.

Below is an experience from the satsang:

I have learned that trying to impress yourself you are also impressing the others around you and that do not want that kind of attention. Also, I understood that watching TV decreases your awareness and it is the worst thing in the world for spiritual progress. TV should be used only to watch satsangs and sometimes play {healthy} video games. In order to do this you have to ask for strength from Dada Bhagwan.

Another important thing that came into my understanding was to NEVER DISOBEY YOUR PARENTS, because they are basically your Gods. Jai Sat Chit Anand!

How our inner ego sometimes misjudges a person

hey and jsca!

This is a very powerful story that someone emailed me. It is about how our ego can hurt someone just by us judging people by their outer appearance. Please read:

A lady in a faded grey dress and her husband, dressed in a home-spun suit walked in timidly without an appointment into the Harvard University President's outer office. The secretary could tell in a moment that such backwoods, country hicks had no business at Harvard and probably didn't even deserve to be in Harvard.

"We want to see the President" the man said softly.

"He'll be busy all day" the secretary snapped.

"We'll wait" the lady replied.

For hours the secretary ignored them, hoping that the couple would finally become discouraged and go away. They didn't and the secretary grew frustrated and finally decided to disturb the president.

"Maybe if you see them for a few minutes, they'll leave" she said to him.

The President, stern faced with dignity, strutted toward the couple. The lady told him "We had a son who attended Harvad for one year. He loved Harvard. He was happy here. But about a year ago, he was accidently killed. My husband and I would like to erect a memorial to him, somewhere on campus.

The President wasn't touched...He was shocked.
"Madam" he said, gruffly ,"we can't put a statue for every person whoa attended Harvard and died. If we did, this place would look like a cemetery."

"Oh, no," the lady explained quickly, "we don't want to erect a statue. We thought we would like to give a building to Harvard."

The President rolled his eyes. He glanced at the gingham dress and homespun suit, and then exclaimed,"A building! Do you have any earthly idea how much a building costs? We have over seven and a half million dollars in the physical buildings here at Harvard."

For a moment the lady was silent. The president was pleased. Maybe he could get rid of them now. The lady turned to her husband and said quietly, "Is that all it costs to start a university? Why don't we just start out own?" Her husband nodded. The president's face wilted in confusion and bewilderment. Mr. and Mrs. Leland Stanford got up and walked away, traveling to Palo Alto, California where they established the University that bears the name:

STANFORD UNIVERSITY...a memorial to a son that Harvard no longer cared about.

Most of the time WE JUDGE PEOPLE BY THEIR OUT APPEARANCE, which can be misleading. And in this impression, we tend to lose our potential good friends, employees, or customers.

In our life, we seldom get people with whom we want to share and group our thought process. But because of our inner EGO we miss them forever.

The Power of Positive

This story was forwarded by Pankaj. Please read, it is very powerful.

You all know below story. However worth reading once again.

Here's an excerpt from the life of Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, (Got it from a magazine: TechnoFIRST, Oct 2008)

"I remember my dad teaching me the power of language at a very young age. Not only did my dad understand that specific words affect our mental pictures, but he understood words are a powerful programming factor in lifelong success.

"One particularly interesting event occurred when I was eight. As a kid, I was always climbing trees, poles, and literally hanging around upside down from the rafters of our lake house. So, it came to no surprise for my dad to find me at the top of a 30-foot tree swinging back and forth. My little eight-year-old brain didn't realise the tree could break or I could get hurt. I just thought it was fun to be up so high..

"My older cousin, Tammy, was also in the same tree. She was hanging on the first big limb, about ten feet below me. Tammy's mother also noticed us at the exact time my dad did. About that time a huge gust of wind came over the tree. I could hear the leaves start to rattle and the tree begin to sway. I remember my dad's voice over the wind yell, 'Bart, Hold on tightly.' So I did. The next thing I know, I heard Tammy screaming at the top of her lungs, laying flat on the ground. She had fallen out of the tree.

"I scampered down the tree to safety. My dad later told me why she fell and I did not.. Apparently, when Tammy's mother felt the gust of wind, she yelled out, 'Tammy, don't fall!' And Tammy did...fall.

"My dad then explained to me that the mind has a very difficult time processing a negative image. In fact, people who rely on internal pictures cannot see a negative at all. In order for Tammy to process the command of not falling, her nine-year-old brain had to first imagine falling, then try to tell the brain not to do what it just imagined. Whereas, my eight-year-old brain instantly had an internal image of me hanging of tightly.

"This concept is especially useful when you are attempting to break a habit or set a goal.. You can't visualise not doing something. The only way to properly visualise not doing something is to actually find a word for what you want to do and visualise that."

This story truly illustrates the Power of Positive thinking.

Please leave your responses and comments.

Views on Positivity - Winston Churchill

Hey Guys! JSCA!

For many of us a new school year is about to start or we are getting ready to make that exciting transition from school to college. Whatever we are about to do, an important thing is that we are optimistic about it and we see all the good that can come from it. Positivi
ty is the key thing that made many famous people lift up their heads and try again. Basically, if you w
ant to stay happy, you have to stay positive. I would like to share some quotes from Winston Churchill, British orator, author, and Prime Minister during World War II, on the topic of positive thinking.

"Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts."
- Winston Churchill

"A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity: an optimist sees the opportu
nity in every difficulty"
- Winston Churchill

...This is what Dada has to say on positivity...

"In real viewpoint shuddhatma, Pure relative viewpoint positive."
- Dadashri

An inspiring example of positivity

Check out this video guys - very inspiring . Its about a football player

Always side with the positive - ( positive na paksh ma rehvu ) - Dadashri

Always develop a vision ( drashti ) that can find out something good even from a bad thing or person. And by doing so, slowly our mind & intellect will become pure day by day.

Positivity is a very big strength . Success follows who are positive in all situations.
